On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the frame of the V Maltese International Music Festival an extraordinary concert was held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture.

The Maltese composer Alexey Shor wrote a whole cycle of musical pieces, potpourri and metamorphoses inspired by songs of the Soviet era, such as the criminal romance "Murka", hits of the 1920’s from Odessa like "Bagels" or "Fried Chicken".

Concert hall of the RCSC was not able to accommodate all the music lovers willing to attend the concert. The audience enthusiastically greeted the famous American viola virtuoso David Aaron Carpenter who performed at this concert, accompanied by his ensemble.

The concert was organised by the European Foundation for the Support of Culture, with assistance of Russian Centre for Science and Culture.
