On June 15, 2017, the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Valletta was visited by H.E. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna Romanova, who is currently on a cultural visit to Malta.
On the same day, the Historical Documentary Exhibition bases on the history of Russian-Maltese ties of the 18th and early 20th centuries from the archives of the National Library of Malta was held in RCSC, and art exhibition "Malta through the Eyes of Artists", in which paintings of artists from several countries were demonstrated as well.
The Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna presented books "The Roll of Arms of the Noble Families", "Russia in Our Heart" to the library of RCSC. She also presented the publications devoted to the 400th anniversary of the Time of Troubles, the restoration of the Russian Statehood and the nationwide vocation for the throne of the House of Romanovs. From the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, the Grand Duchess accepted the book "Malta and Russia. A Journey Through the Ages. Historical Discoveries in Russian-Maltese Relations" by E. Zolina.
Both exhibitions were prepared by the Maltese branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society with the support of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture.
