On September 23 the annual festival dedicated to the Day of European Languages was held at the central square of Sliema in Malta. The participants of the festival were the representatives of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, Educational centre "Rainbow", DESA, the National Book Council (Malta), Maltese University orginisation, Malta-Japan Association, Association of Linguistics and Language Technology and European Commission Representation in Malta.
The entertaining program of the festival included the reciting of Shakespeare’s verses; participation in a life-size board game, active games, songs, dances and delicious treats from around the world.
Festival guests got acquainted with the history and culture of each country, were able to select which of the proposed languages to learn next. The stand of Russian language courses in RCSC attracted great interest of Maltese people and guests of the island. Our teachers handed out brochures of language courses, talked about methodology of teaching the language, and about the progress of their students.
