Malta Launched a New Project "Russian Classics"

The European Foundation for Support of Culture in collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Valletta, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Malta has launched a new, ambitious project – a series of classical music concerts "Russian classics".


The first concert under this series was held with great success on October 26, 2016 at the Embassy of Russia. The solo program which included works by Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, was presented by a famous Russian pianist and pedagogue, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory, laureate of international competitions Yury Didenko. The concert was attended by ambassadors, the Maltese state and public figures, musicians, compatriots.


Every month famous Russian artists will be performing in various prestigious venues of Malta and Gozo, which will provide a creative platform for many talented musicians not only from Russia, but also our compatriots from European countries. Classical music concerts in the framework of the project "Russian classics" will certainly contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations, mutual respect and cultural enrichment between Russia, Malta and other European countries.
