On Friday, November 11, the second series of musical lecture "Fairy Tales in Music" was held in the Russian Centre for Science and Culture. The teacher of theoretical disciplines Marina Ivanova told about the fairy-tale characters encountered in various operas and ballets, and musicians: Alexandra Orlova (violin), Joseph Lia (baritone) and Kristina Golubeva (piano) accompanied the lecturer.
The first performance was "The Arioso of Mizgir" from the opera of N. Rimski-Korsakov "Snow Maiden" (baritone), then the violin performed the most beautiful theme from Princess Scheherazade; in the middle of the program, all guests of the event recognised "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from Edvard Grieg's suite "Peer Gynt", as well as the famous "Waltz of the Flowers" and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from the ballet P. Tchaikovsky "The Nutcracker".
Children were fully involved in the process of the lecture, were listening to live music and watching videos. In the end of the event they successfully answered all the questions of the lecturer.
The guests of the lecture noted that the event is unique, useful and worthy of a wider audience.
Organisers of the event: International Studio-School of Arts in Malta and Educational Center "Rainbow", with support of Russian Centre for Science and Culture.
