Russian Centre for Science and Culture met Minister of Education and Employment of Malta and presented Russian books to the National Library of Malta

On July 12, the Ambassador of Russia to Malta Vladimir Malygin and the Director of RCSC in Valletta Andrey Muraviev had a meeting with Minister of Education and Employment of Malta Evarist Bartolo and CEO of Malta National Library Cheryl Falzon.

Vladimir Malygin and Andrey Muraviev presented a series of books in Russian to the National Library of Malta, among them — Russian classics, children's and adolescent literature, publications about Russian artists as well as history and geography of Russia. The presentation of the books was done as a part of the Multicultural Library Pilot Project, a Maltese initiative to create collections of books in foreign languages in the Malta Libraries.

During the meeting, Mr Malygin, Mr Muravyev and Mr Bartolo discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation in the fields of education, youth relations and sports. In particular, the two sides discussed collaboration between RCSC and the Ministry for Education and Employment of Malta regarding informational support of the Russian federal program of selection of prospective foreign students who wish to study in Russia, as well as promotion of teaching of Russian language within the Maltese educational system.
