December 7, 2016 New Year concert "Musical Kaleidoscope" was held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, students and teachers of the International School-Studio of Arts in Malta performed during the concert. Students performed musical pieces of both Russian and foreign composers. Children played on different musical instruments:  piano, violin and horn. One of the students sang a famous "Katyusha" song.

Kristina Golubeva (piano), Alexander Orlovа (violin) and Anna Dubinа (cello) united in a trio and performed the famous «Ave Maria» by Bach - Gounod, and "Ragtime" by Joplin. Also during the concert the duo of piano and cello played the famous "Waltz" from the ballet "Cinderella" of Prokofiev and "Minstrel Song" of Glazunov.

For the first time the three- and five-year old students took part in the concert. They performed short musical pieces on the piano, with the help of their teacher - Anna Samodaeva.

An interesting surprise was prepared for the audience: all the performers became musical actors. Coming out to the stage one by one, they played the famous miniature "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from the suite "Peer Gynt" by Grieg. The small musical play ended with 15 people being on the stage, they were playing on the piano, French horn, violin, cello, drums, triangles, spoons, tambourines, maracas and rattle.

At the end of the concert children received New Year gifts and a big cake, that was decorated with images of Peer Gynt and Cinderella.

The teaching staff of the International School-Studio of Arts acknowledged the priority task of maximum development of creative abilities in their students.
