Vladimir Malygin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Republic of Malta, and Andrey Muravyev, Director of the RCSC, addressed the guests. In his speech, Vladimir Malygin drew the audience’s attention to the 90th birth anniversary of Yevgeny Primakov, a prominent Russian politician and scholar.
A number of activists from the Russian community were awarded with tokens of gratitude for their contribution to the preservation of the Russian language, work in the field of education of Russian-speaking youth, assistance in organizing cultural events and popularization of traditions and culture of the peoples of Russia in Malta.
The evening program included a quiz on history and customs of the peoples of Russia, a photo corner and a reception, where guests could taste traditional Russian dishes.
The event was supported by the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Malta, RCSC in Valletta as well as by Russian compatriots’ businesses such as Russian food store, Poppy and VostOk cafes and Russian karaoke bar D' Amici.
