Russian writer Igor Shevchuk met Russian compatriots and students at the RCSC in Valletta

Igor Shevchuk, Russian writer and journalist, creator of the popular Russian animated series " Smeshariki”, visited Malta with a series of interactive events.

On January 23, 2020, he held a meet-the writer session at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Valletta. This event attracted interest of Russian compatriots living in Malta as well as young and adult students of the RCSC Russian language courses.

Igor Shevchuk prepared an interactive presentation —  with games, songs and quizzes. The audience has got acquainted with popular characters and characters of the modern Russian literature and animation. The students also had an opportunity to practice their Russian in a different environment.

The event was organized by the Association of teachers of Russian language and literature of Malta with the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Valletta and the Russian boarding school “Malta Crown".

During his visit to Malta Igor Shevchuk also held creative sessions with the Russian compatriots at the educational center “Raduga”, Russian kindergarten "Kroshka Ru" and Russian boarding school “Malta Crown”.
