Mr Primakov outlined the main issues to be addressed by Rossotrudnichestvo. In particular, Russian cultural centres in the non-CIS countries will now focus on work with public opinion in order to add to their main activities in demonstrating Russia's cultural and scientific achievements. The main tasks will be further development of cooperation with Russia and implementation of joint projects, formation of a positive image of Russia, spreading messages of unity and peace, as well as further research of common ties and connections between the countries.

Working with public opinion is the primary task of the Russian centres situated in non-CIS countries, as it not only influences decision-makers, but also helps protect the rights of Russian compatriots living in these countries.
